AUGUST UNCROWDED VACATION? HERE’S WHERE TO GO

Of course, if you’re looking for uncrowded August holiday, you will need to have by your great desire to relax. There are those who “dream in a tropical rain beast” and those who would like to drop everything and leave. Here, however, comes a disempowering thought: August? Warm, traffic, crowded places!

Right, right, but not too much. There are ad hoc destinations in Europe, for those who want a summer, shall we say … less crowded than usual.

AUGUST UNCROWDED VACATION: THE TOP TEN

GREECE: STUPA AND KALOGRIA BEACH

Among the places less traveled, but spectacular climate, color, landscape, it emerges Stoupa. The small town in the Peloponnese, nestled amid the hills of Taygetus, lends itself as a pleasant place, suitable for those who love the peace of body and soul. Its cutting edge is the Kalogria beach.

A nature reserve hosted by Strofilia forest and topped by an enormous beach with dunes. Vast sea accompanied by the ruins of the ancient wall of Dimei.

TURKEY: 17 KILOMETERS of BEAUTY.

If we move to Turkey instead, we find Patara. Among the special, it has a long beach 17 km. No … it’s not very popular. It is that we still have not landed the big chain hotels that line the most popular destinations. From here to the fact that if you are lucky, you will have the opportunity to see the turtles laying on the beach.

SLOVENIA. PIRAN, AN UNCROWDED IN AUGUST FOR VACATION.

A few feet here and here, touching Slovenia and the border with our country, we come to Piran. Narrow alleyways and features, houses that cling to each other with a charm of the Netherlands. Its mosaic square protected from homes and embraced by a green overlooking the sea is spectacular. That’s checking the small harbor to watch the blue waves of the sea.

ITALY. THE PROCIDA PASTELS, COLORS OF THE SOUL.

Do not forget our beautiful Italy that even if you put it in the top five of the most popular tourist areas, still has a few little secrets. We are in Procida, Campania. It seems to live an ancient drawing by pastel colors. Nicoletti and colorful houses make Procida one of the most characteristic Neapolitan islands. Also, open your ears, Procida has a dialect all its own, different from the others. Oh … I almost forgot — crystal clear water and above all, great food.

AUSTRIA. HALLSTATT NO CARS IN THE “PEARL.”

Auto banned all over the country, among other things, fewer than a thousand souls. Let’s talk about Hallstatt, better known as the “Pearl of Austria.” Do you think that a few years ago we could only arrive by boat, or traveling very narrow paths? Today it is a real jewel in the crown among the particular salt mines.

NORWAY. A DIP IN THE MIDDLE AGES OF LOFTEN.

Worth considering then Loften Islands. We are in Norway and, as you can imagine, only the morphological scenery measured by the simplicity of nature is worth the ticket price. You will find some real fishing villages like Nusfjord or the cliffs of Rost birds and villages Eggum and Unstad. Fabulous, the least known and charming, one of the Nordic countries.

SPAIN. THE HUNDRED SOULS OF GRACIOSA.

From a thousand pearl of Austria, another fishing village with just over a hundred people: La Graciosa. It is part of the Canaries, yet one of the least known islands suitable for those on holiday combines absolute relaxation. Long sandy beaches, wild and unspoiled nature are the main features of the islands of Graciosa.

CROATIA. THE BEAUTY OF LASTOVO LANDSCAPES.

Canoe trails and fishing are the main activities practiced in Lastovo, Croatia. We’re talking about 800 souls net number of tourists. A little known national park but very quaint and full of surprises, both in terms of landscape and emotionally.

FRANCE. AMIENS “FRENCH VENICE.”

We could not enter, in our top ten, Amiens. The city located in the south of France, characterized by a Gothic architectural heritage, I want to touch the sky. Culture, dubbed the French Venice, is washed by two rivers commonly called “hortillonnages.”

SPAIN. ALBARRACÍN HAS A LONG HISTORY OF 2700 YEARS.

It stands on the Guadalaviar River, opened his eyes in close to 711. C. and, we can say, that takes them well. We are in Spain and talk about Albarracín. The place that allows room for history and nature. The small village perched on the summit of the mountain it seems is drawn on a canvas. Ah … it is recognized as a national monument.

PUGLIA UNCONVENTIONAL ROUTE: SERRACAPRIOLA AND CHIEUTI

If like me you love unconventional routes on Article right!

For years now go in Puglia vacation. They’ve seen it all! You were in Salento in Gallipoli or moves in the beautiful Santa Maria di Leuca.

Have you visited the Gargano with its cliffs and its luxury resorts?

Almost certainly you have been to Alberobello, and maybe you have even visited the famous zoo in Fasano. And the conviction of having lived all Puglia gives you the courage to decide to change the region! Well I am going to destroy all your beliefs !! muahahaha (read as evil laugh.)

Seriously Puglia is vast, and it is all beautiful! From the inland areas to coastal, those known in the most hidden. I have spoken about Ruvo di Puglia and Biccari, but now I bring in small towns of Serracapriola and Chieuti hopelessly in love that I made about seven years ago.

SERRACAPRIOLA AND CHIEUTI: WHEN PUGLIA IS DIVIDED BETWEEN SEA AND CULTURE

If the Puglia remains the flagship of Italian tourism, Serracapriola, and Chieuti, out of the storm, from the tourist mass of the most famous brothers, retain an old-world charm enclosed within their ancient walls. The old village made of stone houses and streets, where it is still possible to cross the elders sitting comfortably outside their homes. So another common that like to Biccari seems to be immune to the speed and the stress of the modern world.

Here’s what is my place out of this world! My oasis of peace, where I go to recharge the batteries.

Moments of relaxation on my Hammock Chair Tropilex (Advertising) With its fields that alternated those golden expanses of wheat in yellow those of sunflowers to switch from red tomatoes. The place where the word relaxation becomes tangible.

SERRACAPRIOLA: ONE BATHROOM BETWEEN HISTORY AND RELIGION

After the poetic part, I give a little ‘of historical information.

Serracapriola, the municipality in the province of Foggia immersed in the Gargano National Park, on the border with Molise and placed a few kilometers from the sea, it looks like a real hidden gem of our Boot.

If the rich monumental and artistic heritage is the highlight of this resort, very special, there are places devoted to relaxing.

THE MONUMENTAL HERITAGE

From the Capuchin Fathers, a place close to the figure of St. Pio of Pietrelcina, the Convent of Our Lady of Grace, Serracapriola become a preferred place for lovers of religious tourism.

Do not miss the story, that beautiful, with references to Frederick II of Swabia, from which Serracapriola draws its origins.

There is a shortage of disasters, from involvement in the Battle of Lepanto (1566) when the Turks attacked the city until the earthquake of 1627 that destroyed much of the town.

Do not miss the artistic and monumental heritage, civil architecture (see the castle of the XI sec.), which is the real heart of the city and the city’s history.

A LOOK AT RELIGIOUS TOURISM

There is also an emphasis on religious monuments, like the Church of Santa Maria in Silvis, the oldest building and the same age as the castle.

The eye also to the Church of San Mercurio dating back to 1630 in which there are several altars dedicated to various saints with its relics.

Of the seventeenth century. Instead of the former church of Saint Anthony in front, at least chronologically, St. Anne’s Church (1742).

Another site exciting is the church of Sant’Angelo founded as a worship area extramural in 1436 by Cistercian fathers and was then extended from 1474 until the eighteenth.

Interesting historical intersection with the Gonzagas who treated the second phase of construction.

Let the Church and the Convent of Santa Maria Delle Grazie erected initially founded in 1536 by Capuchin Father Paolo from Sestino and financed by Andronica Del Balzo, Princess of Molfetta and lady Serracapriola.

CHIETI MARINA: COEXISTENCE AND RESPECT BETWEEN MAN AND NATURE

Small and charming, Chieuti Marina is a very quaint seaside town. Located in the province of Foggia and linked to the municipality of Chieuti it has arisen only recently as a good tourist destination.

FROM EMPIRE TO ARAGONESE CROWN

In Roman times, and she lived a period of high growth until the arrival of the Goths in the sixth century who sacked the whole area.

Since then, the Roman city was abandoned and still it was not possible to find the remains of the original site, while the population fleeing settled farther south and founded today’s Chianti.

The beautiful Chieuti fits between those cities Aragonese who remained loyal to the crown thanks to the intervention of Gjergj Kastrioti Skenderbeu, an Albanian leader who landed on the coast of Apulia to the aid of the Spaniards.

CHIETI: SEASIDE RESORT HIDDEN IN THE ARMS OF NATURE

But let us return to our present because Marina di Chieuti comes from a seaside point of view, as a long strip of white sand that stretches to the nearby Campomarino (Molise).

Cutting-edge facilities, but also the wild beach, Chieuti has two faces of the same coin. So should mount a hammock and be swinging from the warm breeze.

The whole area is characterized by shallow water and a very calm sea that makes it suitable for families with small children, they will have even more security on the beach near the center of Marina di Chieuti where lifeguards are on duty throughout the day.

THE HISTORIC CENTER

Do not miss the historic center of Chieuti pixelated by narrow cobbled streets and flanked by low houses looking “decrepit” to stay in a Greek-Latin mood.

In this maze of narrow streets, you can visit the impressive neo-classical church of St. George the Martyr and the beautiful square of Largo IV Novembre which faces the Apulian hinterland.

In conclusion, we can say that the Serracapriola tandem – Chieuti looks a winner, suitable for those who love the right sun, the sea and at the same time are motivated by curiosity to peer into the origins of a people, think about it, there is still the hardcore of our traditions.01

HOLIDAYS IN SEPTEMBER? SURE YOU CAN! HERE’S WHERE TO GO 100%

Is August too crowded? Dreaming of a trip? How about holidays in September? While the whole world is covered with bowed heads on the desks you, settembrini DOC’s probably just going to start your holiday.

It’s true … in September the scent of the sea changes, the air becomes more gentle, and the sun caresses the skin in a softer. But what goals choose to spend the holidays in September?

Each goal is excellent, let’s start with this assumption, there are no right or wrong places, but there are places you like and sites you want less. The fact is that if I were to suggest someplace, I’d go for something truly unique.

GEORGIA, A COUNTRY OF TWO CONTINENTS

The former Soviet Republic, a buffer between Asia and Europe, is one of the fascinating countries in the world. Imagine a place where East and West are intertwined, the encounter of languages, colors, flavors, and opposing cultures. September is an excellent time to visit is the Black Sea coast and take a seaside holiday is the villages and monasteries that are located inside and on the Caucasian mountain ranges. Vardzia, in particular, is well worth a visit: it is a rock art site, a monastery dug into the side of Mount Erusheli, built by Queen Tamara in 1185 as a place of defense against the Mongols. Do not miss to Tbilisi, the capital, located on the thermal waters. The multi colored pebbles and warm colors make the city a mosaic of absolute beauty.

TURKEY, AN IDEAL CLIMATE FOR HOLIDAYS IN SEPTEMBER

Among the September holidays, it can not be mentioned Antalya, a spearhead of Turkey. Watch out for the bonnet and all under the umbrella because the temperatures are high. Do not miss the Konyaalti beach, located west of the city. Inside there will be surprises, especially if you run the discovery of Kaleiçi, the old town, which is full of remains dating back to the Byzantine eras, Roman and Ottoman. From the ruins of the castle at the harbor to the ruins do Termessos, one of the oldest cities best preserved in the country.

SPAIN, ALL IN ANDALUSIA

No … not at all obvious. Seville! That’s right. The beautiful Andalusian is suitable, especially for a long weekend. Seville hides the real historical treasures, vestiges of a rich past in which Christians and Muslims were mixed. Take a ride to the Plaza del Triunfo with its three buildings (a UNESCO World Heritage Site), the cathedral and the Giralda, the Real Alcazar and the House Lonja is perfectly square from an artistic point of view.

AZORES, A SINGLE TRIP TO THE TROPICAL ARCHIPELAGO

Holidays in September in Portugal? Sure, you can. The Azores are coveted a bit ‘at all thanks to its subtropical climate that, for the avoidance of doubt, will ensure lots of suns. The archipelago offers beautiful landscapes, lakes, volcanoes, rock pools and, not least, the Atlantic Ocean. Also, in September, it becomes an optimal time because the islands are emptied of chaos, and then you will have the chance to enjoy a truly unique holiday.

ITALY ( LAMPEDUSA ) IS WHY DO THE HOLIDAYS SEPTEMBER

An ideal destination for Italian holiday September? Lampedusa. We are in the south, almost in Africa. The climate plays a game hot, tropical. The clear waters, to say the least Caribbean make Lampedusa one of the most beautiful islands of the Mediterranean. From here to the Rabbits beach, protected by nature reserve, it remains a dream. Watch out for encounters of the third kind! No … they’re not aliens, but the Turtles that you will see during your trip. Not to mention the kitchen, of course, fresh seafood at all hours.02
